There are many different strategies to evangelism, one that is proven successful is corporate evangelism. Corporate evangelism is warranted biblically and exposes people to the love of Christ through His church. Helpful elements to corporate evangelism include prayer meetings, large meetings, small meetings, and group investment outside of meetings. The more equipped the church can become to work together the more successful it will be to share the love of Christ.

What made Paul's team was effective was that they were faithful, they grew while serving, gave second chances, served and fought together, prayed for one another, and challenged each other. Perhaps above all, they loved each other, a deeply valuable team trait.

When Christians serve and represent Jesus well in the workplace it can have an impact on Jesus' reputation, on our personal growth, on people coming into Christian fellowship, and growing personally with Christ.

Key Ingredients of Spiritual Maturity

Paul instructs the Colossians on four key ingredients to spiritual maturity: 1) receiving Christ; 2) ongoing instruction about Christ; 3) resistance to spiritual deception; and 4) being ?in formation? with other Christians. All of us tend to specialize in one or two of these areas, but no amount of proficiency in any one area can make up for a deficiency in the others. All are needed if we want to mature spiritually.

Paul describes his ongoing prayer for the Colossians to undergo a comprehensive spiritual transformation. God desires we center our lives on Him and grow in 1) active goodness towards others; 2) personal intimacy with Him; 3) becoming more steadfast and patient, and 4) deepening our joy and gratitude. God transforms us as we meditate on the Gospel and ask Him to illuminate the Gospel's application to our lives while in the context of Christian community.

Acts 6:1-7

In the early church, Hellenistic Jews and Hebraic Jews were culturally at odds in the diverse city of Jerusalem. They overcame cultural prejudice in four ways: 1) The leaders acknowledge the problem publically; 2) they delegated authority to a trustworthy group; 3) they didn't overreact; and 4) both sides trusted in the leadership of the church. In order to fight division, we must understand the basis for our unity in Christ, be on the lookout for division, and be a community of the Word that also serves each other.
